The National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA) has introduced the new system where students in Rwanda including the p6, s6,  TVET level 5 and Teacher Training Colleges (TTC) to register for the National Exams that will soon be conducted across the whole country already the SDMS candidate registrations Nation examinations registrations for all candidates has started and the deadline has been extended to  to May 10, 2022.

so this article will guide you on how to register through the SDMS portal which is available through their SDMS Rwanda government website remember that the National Exam Registration should be initiated by the head teacher at his school

National Examination registration process primary six (P6)

to register for the REB national examinations the primary six students of Rwanda should follow and adhere to this steps

• visit the sdms registration portal: https://sdms.gov.rw
• Student should be registered in SDMS
• Student should be enrolled into primary six (p6)
• Student and parent information should be accurate and complete.
• Student should have a passport picture

School Choice

• 1st choice: Two boarding schools from different Provinces/city of Kigali.
• 2nd Choice: Two boarding schools from different Provinces/city of Kigali.
• 3rd Choice: Two day-schools in the vicinity of his/her residence.

after the SDMS candidate registration is completed and validated by the headteacher Head teacher to submit the registered
candidate to NESA for Approval

National Examination registration process for Senior 3 (s3)

• Student should be registered in SDMS
• Student should be enrolled into senior3
• Student and parent information should be accurate and complete.
• Student should have a passport picture

School Choice

• 1st Choice: Two boarding upper secondary school from TVET, general education or professional studies.
• 2nd Choice: Two boarding upper secondary school from TVET, general education or professional studies.
• 3rd Choice: Two day-schools in the vicinity of his/her residence

After the registration Head Teacher to validate the registration Head teacher to submit the registered candidate to NESA for
Approval. Upon submission, a bill ID will be generated from IREMBO and the payment information will be sent to the head teacher, same info is updated in SDMS. Payment can be done through Mobile Money, online or the bank.
